Overview
Heymarket offers the functionality to automate the sending of opt-out messages. This feature helps ensure compliance by appending a standard opt-out message once when communicating with a phone number.
How to Use Append Opt-Out
Enabling Append Opt-Out
- Navigate to the Compliance Page: As an owner or admin of a Heymarket team, navigate to the compliance page.
- Activate the Append Opt-Out: Toggle the switch to enable the Append Opt-Out feature:
Customizing Append Opt-Out
- Customize the Opt-Out Message: On the compliance page, click the pencil icon next to the opt-out message to edit.
- Edit the text Body and Keyword:
- Modify the text before and after the keyword.
- Select the appropriate keyword from a dropdown menu.
- Finalize Changes: After making adjustments, click out of the input field to save the customized message. For guidelines on our recommended opt-out messaging, refer to the following help article: Automatic and Manual Opt-out.
- Once you’re satisfied with the opt-out message, simply click out of the input field.
Disabling Append Opt-Out
- Go to the Compliance Page: As an admin, return to the compliance settings.
- Deactivate the Feature: Toggle the Append Opt Out switch to the 'off' position to stop the automatic appending of the opt-out message.
Note: If your team chooses not to enable this feature, your team will be responsible for ensuring that an opt-out message that includes one or more of the keywords STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, CANCEL, QUIT, STOP ALL is included at least one time when communicating with a phone number.
