Overview
Tags help you categorize your workspace by labeling specific people or chat threads for easy filtering and automation.
Tag Types
The created tag can be applied to both objects. So a tag made for a contact could later be used for a conversation. There are two ways to use tags in Heymarket:
- Tag the specific Contact: These stay with the actual contact. Use these for permanent attributes
- Tag the Specific Conversation: These stay with the specific chat thread. Use these for temporary status or topic tracking
How to Create and Apply Contact Tags
- Open a Contact profile
- Locate the Tags section in the right-hand sidebar.
- Type the name of a new tag and press Enter

How to Create and Apply Conversation Tags

- Open a Conversation in your Inbox.
- At the top right, look for the Add Tag icon.
- Select a tag to apply it to this specific conversation.
Managing and Filtering Tags
Once you have tagged your contacts or chats, you can use them to stay organized:
- Filtering the Inbox: In the conversations search text box, select a Conversation Tag to see conversations that is associated with that tag
- Creating Lists: Use Contact Tags to build dynamic lists for Campaigns. Go to the contacts section, and filter by tags
- Tag Management: Administrators can edit or delete tags by navigating to Administration > Tags.
Tag Rules
Maximum 5 tags per conversation
- Prevents tag sprawl and inconsistent categorization.
