Rich custom fields are enhanced data fields that allow you to store and display more complex or formatted information beyond simple text.
Creating custom fields

Navigate to the Contacts Tab: Go to the Administration page and select the Contacts tab: https://app.heymarket.com/admin/fields/.
- You can also access this page by clicking the contacts tab directly and select Manage Custom Fields https://app.heymarket.com/contacts/
- Lastly you can select access this page by clicking the contact panel directly within the conversations tab. On the right-hand side, select the hyperlink ‘manage’ next to Custom Fields

Select a Field Type Choose from one of the following options:
- Date: Enter dates in the MM/DD/YYYY format.
- Text: Store string values.
- Number: Store integer values (e.g., dollar amounts or quantities).
- Save the Custom Field: Once created, the custom field will be available to assign values to contacts during creation or import.
CSV Import
Once created, you can set the value on a contact, when created or imported from another source.
You can add a custom field using the CSV import, the custom field name will need to match the column name in the CSV. The date values need to be in the following format
YYYY-MM-DD
YYYY-MM-Dd
MM/DD/YYYY
Filtering Contacts with Custom Fields
Once created, you can set the value on a contact, when created or imported from another source.
Navigate to the Contacts tab and filter your contacts using rich custom fields

Date
- Set a range or provide a date. You can filter by set dates provided by Heymarket or create a custom range” with “Set a range or provide a date

Text
- Filter by free-form text

Number
- You can search by greater than, less than, in between ranges, or an exact value
