Heymarket’s SAML-based single sign-on (or SAML SSO) feature provides your team with access to the Heymarket platform through an identity provider (IdP) of your Account Administrator’ choice.
SAML SSO can only be configured by Account Owner/Administrators on a Team level.
The SSO process applies to the domains that you add to the SAML SSO settings. Any users (team and inbox members) with these domains must log into Heymarket via the SSO option using their identity provider credentials.
The only exception to this rule is for Heymarket Account Owner/Administrators, who retain the ability to authenticate using a password.
Configuring your IdP
Heymarket Account Administrators can configure SAML SSO in the Users tab, located in the Administration section of the Heymarket web app.
1. Assign a domain to the SAML configuration
2. Select the IdP you wish to configure
3. Follow the configuration steps provided by the IdP
Once an Account Administrator enables SAML SSO, end-users (team and inbox members) will be able to sign-in using their email address from the Team’s approved domains in settings.
Signing in when part of multiple teams
A team or inbox member can only be part of SAML configuration since it has exclusive use of an email domain.
If an existing user is already associated with a SAML configuration, they will need to use their IdP to sign in to their Heymarket account.
Once authenticated, the user will be able to switch teams within their Heymarket account.
