If your Heymarket notifications aren't popping up as they should, don't worry, we’ll help you get back on track.
Before diving into device-specific settings, ensure the following:
- DND is turned off
- Browser Notifications are enabled.
- If you're using our mobile app, sometimes a quick reinstall is all it takes to clear out any glitches.
Check Your Heymarket Inbox Settings
Sometimes the issue isn't your phone or computer, but how your inbox is configured. You can manage these settings directly in the Manage Inboxes section.
| Notification Logic | How It Works |
| Chat assignment notifications |
Chat assignments determine which user receives notifications for incoming chats (for example, Chats assigned to “Nobody” will alert all users in the inbox. Chats assigned to “John Smith” will only alert the “John Smith” user) |
| Send notifications to everyone regardless of assignments | When a contact responds back to your message, this will notify your entire team of the chat. If turned off, only the member assigned to the chat will be notified |
Mobile Troubleshooting
iOS
To ensure Heymarket can reach you on Apple devices, follow these steps:
- Allow Notifications: Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Heymarket and ensure the toggle is green.
- Time-Sensitive Alerts: Turn this ON for critical alerts to ensure they break through Focus modes.
- Background App Refresh: Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and ensure it is ON. This allows Heymarket to process incoming messages even when the app isn't open.
Android
Android systems are aggressive about saving battery, which can sometimes silence your apps:
- App Notifications: In App Info > Notifications, ensure "All Heymarket notifications" is toggled ON.
- Battery Optimization: Go to Settings > Apps > Heymarket > Battery and set it to "Unrestricted". Features like "Adaptive Battery" can otherwise kill background processes to save power.
- Permissions: If you are on Android 13 or newer, ensure you explicitly clicked "Allow" when the app first requested notification permissions.
Desktop Troubleshooting
Mac (macOS)
- System Settings: Go to System Settings > Notifications > Heymarket (or your browser, like Chrome) and ensure "Allow Notifications" is ON.
- Focus Modes: Check your Control Center (top right). If "Do Not Disturb" or "Work" focus is active, notifications won't appear unless Heymarket is on the "Allowed" list.
- Alert Style: Ensure your style is set to Banners or Alerts rather than "None".
Windows
- Master Toggle: Check Settings > System > Notifications and ensure the master toggle is ON.
- Focus Assist: Open the Action Center. If Focus Assist is set to "Priority Only" or "Alarms Only," Heymarket notifications may be filtered out.
