AI Insights lets you ask questions about your Heymarket reports in plain English and get answers grounded in your own report data. Answers can include charts and tables, and you can save charts to dashboards your whole team shares.
Use it to check message volume, response times, team member performance, broadcast results, email delivery and AI agent activity without building a report by hand. If you belong to more than one team, you can ask one question across every team where you have Reports access.
Where to find AI Insights
- In Heymarket, go to Reports.
- Select AI Insights.
- Use the toggle in the top right to switch between Chat (ask questions) and Dashboards (saved charts).
Ask a question
- In Chat, type your question in the ask bar. For example: "How many messages did we send and receive in the last 30 days?"
- Choose which inboxes to include:
- All Inboxes on your current team
- One inbox, or several inboxes
- All Teams, to ask across every team you belong to
- Click Ask, or press Enter. Press Shift+Enter to start a new line instead.
AI Insights checks your reports and replies with the answer. Where the data supports it, the answer includes a chart or table. Changing the inboxes applies to your next question; answers already shown keep the scope they were asked with.
What you can ask about
- Message volume: sent, received and failed messages, automation, and trends by day, week or month. Break results down by inbox, team or team member.
- Response performance: first response time, average response time and resolution time, overall or per team member.
- Team members: who handled which conversations, and who responds fastest.
- Broadcasts and campaigns: delivery and engagement results.
- Email: delivery, bounces and failures.
- AI agents: in autonomous mode, conversations handled, messages sent, escalations and deflections. In supervised mode, suggestions approved, edited or rejected.
- AI feature usage: how often your team uses Heymarket's AI features.
You can also ask AI Insights to drill into a specific conversation or campaign for more detail.
Example questions to try:
- "What was our average first response time last week, by team member?"
- "Show me failed messages by inbox for the last 30 days."
- "How did our September broadcasts perform?"
- "How many conversations did our AI agent escalate this month?"
How answers work
- Grounded in your data. Every number comes from your Heymarket reports for the period shown. If your reports can't answer a question, AI Insights tells you instead of guessing.
- Clear time frames. If your question doesn't name a period, AI Insights asks which one you mean. In charts, a period that's only partly covered is labeled, for example "Sep (to date)" or "Jun (from Jun 27)".
- Follow-up questions. Ask a follow-up such as "and the week before?" and AI Insights keeps the context of the conversation.
- Try again. If an answer fails to load, click Try again on that answer.
Start a new chat
Click New chat or Back to return to the AI Insights home screen and start fresh. This clears the current conversation.
Suggested and pinned questions
Suggested questions on the AI Insights home screen run common reports in one click. You can reorder or remove them like your own pins.
To save a question you ask often:
- On any answer, click Pin question. (Questions AI Insights couldn't answer can't be pinned.)
- Give the pin a name, or keep the suggested one, and click Pin.
- The question appears on your home screen under Pinned. Click the card anytime to rerun it with the latest data.
Pins are private to you. You can have up to 15 pinned and suggested questions combined; remove suggestions you don't use to make room. Hover over a card to reorder or remove it.
Dashboards
Dashboards hold the charts your team checks regularly. They're shared with everyone on your team, and their charts always show current data.
Create a dashboard
- Switch to Dashboards in the top right.
- Open the ⋮ menu and select New dashboard. If you don't have any dashboards yet, click New dashboard on the empty page.
- Give the dashboard a name.
A team can have up to 50 dashboards.
Add a chart
Each dashboard holds up to 20 charts. You can add a chart two ways.
From Chat:
- Ask a question that returns a chart.
- On the answer, click Save to dashboard. This button appears only on answers that include a chart.
- Choose the dashboard to save it to.
From a dashboard:
- Open the dashboard and click Add chart.
- Pick the inboxes or teams to include.
- Type your question and click Ask.
- Check the preview. If you change the inboxes after asking, ask again.
- Click Add to dashboard.
Keep charts current
Charts load with the latest report data when you open Dashboards. To rerun them at any time, click Refresh.
Change a chart
Open the chart's ⋮ menu, or click the chart to open it full size. From there you can:
- Edit with AI: describe the change in plain English, for example "last 90 days" or "only the Support inbox".
- Change scope: pick different inboxes or teams.
- Chart type: switch between bar, line and pie. This applies to charts, not tables; trend charts switch between line and bar.
- Rename or Remove the chart.
Rename or delete a dashboard
Open the dashboard's ⋮ menu and select Rename or Delete. Because dashboards are shared, these changes apply to everyone on your team.
Give feedback on an answer
Every answer has a thumbs up and thumbs down. Your feedback goes directly to the team improving AI Insights.
- Thumbs up: tell us what worked.
- Thumbs down: pick what went wrong:
- Numbers look wrong
- Wrong report or metric
- Wrong time range or inbox scope
- Answer is unclear
- I wanted a different report
- Something else
You can add a note of up to 500 characters. Describing what you expected to see helps the team fix the issue faster.
Good to know
Chat history isn't saved
Report numbers change daily, so old answers would quickly go out of date. A conversation stays open while you move around Reports and clears when you reload the page. To keep something, save the chart to a dashboard or pin the question.

| Question length | 2,000 characters |
